Case Study: Fuller, Smith & Turner

Case Study: Fuller, Smith & Turner

How a new development programme helped improve engagement by 5% in 6 short months

This week we are profiling a case study from Fullers Brewery in the UK.

They were awarded with ‘Highly Commended’ in the 2016 Employee Engagement Company of the Year category. The judge was none other than Calum DiLeto, the (then) editor of HR Grapevine.  So high praise indeed.

The case study has been prepared by People Insight.

As promised in Engagement Zone last week, we will be delivering you (at the very least) one case study a week from past finalists, highly commended and winning companies from our awards around the world. Much more to come. Watch this space.

Case Study:
Fuller’s has been brewing beer and running pubs since 1845.  They have a team of 4000 people and operate more than 190 premium managed pubs and hotels along with over 200 tenanted pubs, with a focus on engaging service, fresh food and outstanding cask ale (such as London Pride).

Engagement was key across the whole business; the brewing arm of the business was about to go through significant change, making it ‘Fit for 2020’. So it was time for a stake in the ground to measure how people were feeling before the programme started…
